The 50 grit pad will prepare your surface by eliminating trowel marks, smoothing rough areas and exposing light aggregate. The 50 grit pad is also great for shaping edges and removing mold lines. The 100 grit will follow and so on until you reach the final grit where you should achieve a polished shine.
